Perenich, Caulfield, Avril & Noyes Personal Injury Lawyers recently participated in the 38th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, as part of our law firm’s community involvement efforts.
We were proud to have the chance to celebrate such an important figure in our nation’s history. MLK Day is one of the most meaningful dates of the year and is an opportunity for everyone in the country to come together in support of values like service, humility, and compassion.
The MLK Dream Big Parade and Weekend Celebration in St. Petersburg, Florida
The MLK Dream Big event spanned four days in 2024, beginning Friday, January 12th, and ending on Monday, January 15th. MLK Day is held on the 3rd Monday of every January, and this year, the holiday coincided with Dr. King’s birthday.
Some of the highlights of the weekend included the Dream Big Banquet on Friday, the Treasure Hunt on Saturday, the Band Showcase on Sunday, and the Parade itself on Monday.
Notably, this is the nation’s longest-running parade celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.
Our Law Firm’s Participation in the Event
Many attorneys and staff from our law firm participated in this year’s celebration. The parade took place just a few blocks away from our St. Petersburg law offices, and we had a substantial turnout.
We gave away hundreds of promotional items and thousands of beads, in addition to spending significant time walking around the area celebrating the day’s events. Some of our participants noted that they walked well over 8,000 steps on the day.

This year we had a wonderful time celebrating Dr. King’s legacy of service and equality while handing out tons of beads and fun giveaways. We look forward to doing it all again next year!”
