June 2020 Recall Roundup

Summer is officially here! Though COVID-19 might mean this summer feels a little different than usual, one thing is still the same: you’ll want to watch out for any recalled or dangerous products this summer to keep yourself and your family safe. With the June 2020 edition of Recall Roundup, learn what products to avoid this summer.

Around The House

With many people still working home or self-isolating to protect immunocompromised loved ones, more people could be staying at home this summer, rather than going on vacations or on outdoor adventures. That makes home goods-related recalls particularly dangerous this summer.

For people who are looking to work out at home this summer, avoid Decathlon’s Pilates ball. The balls can suddenly burst while in use, leading to a fall hazard. Another hazardous home product in June 2020 is heat detectors manufactured by Edwards Fire Safety. The heat detectors can fail to activate during rising temperatures, and could fail to alert people in case of a fire in their home.

June 2020 also saw the recall of a few health products, including:

  • Davina Wellness essential oils
  • Simply Earth essential oils
  • Tim Trading essential oils
  • GSK Consumer Healthcare children’s cough medicine
  • Lupin Pharmaceuticals metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets
  • Marksans Pharmaceuticals metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets

Food Recalls

Summer can be a busy time, and you might not always have time to stay up-to-date on recent food recalls when you have a family to feed or hungry kids coming back in from the pool. To help you keep your family safe this summer, here are a few June 2020 recalls to avoid:

  • HEB country fare juice drinks
  • Aldi bagged salads
  • Nestle lean fettucine alfredo

Vehicle Recalls

Finally, if you and your family are looking at taking advantage of any summer vehicle sales, be aware of recent recalls from these manufacturers:

  • Mazda
  • Highland Ridge
  • Thor Motor Coach
  • Daimler Vans
  • Jayco
  • Forest River
  • Keystone
  • Bentley
  • Land Rover
  • Mercedes Benz
  • Kawaski
